How to choose art for your nursery?

With the abundance of baby suitable art in the world, where do you even start? A lot of people will begin with colour, the chances are that you are going to be spending a lot of time in this room so choose a colour theme to the art that makes you feel calm and happy - the calmer and happier you are, the calmer and happier your baby will be.

The gender neutral trend is an increasingly popular theme within children's fashion as well as baby decor. Historically we've always gone with blue for a boy, pink for a girl and you could definitely still do this, however as we are in the 21st century so why not go for turquoise, grey, yellow or orange art or a mix of all of the above.

Saying this, you don't want to over stimulate your baby with too much or too bright decor as it can overwhelm them. We suggest keeping your wall colour simple then choosing key artworks (as well as other decorative accessories) that create points of interest around the room.

To tie your decor choices together it's worth introducing a cohesive theme. This could be bold pastels, animals, florals, mountains…anything really. We've pulled together a selection of themes and our favourite artworks that would look great!
